The Miss Litchfield County Scholarship Program is opened to all young women between the ages of 17 to 24 that live, work or attend school in the State of Connecticut. The Miss America pageant is a non profit civic organization and is the single largest source of college scholarships for young women. The Miss America Organization looks for well rounded individuals who believes in herself and is willing to give of herself for the betterment of our youth and community.
A committee of volunteers will be available to help young women become a confident communicator with energy, charisma and expression. Miss Litchfield County will be able to articulate her Issue of Concern to the public, become a role model that mobilizes and inspires leadership along with other community participation. She then will compete in the Miss Connecticut pageant which is held at the Garde Arts Center in New London CT. in June.
